God's Winter Wonderland is an eight page board book that introduces small children to several ideas:
God is the one who makes the seasons.
God loves me, I know, because he gives me snow to play with.
What God has made is perfect (he thought of everything).
There's a place called heaven and there are beings called angels.
We should thank God because he's wonderful.
The pictures are bright, the boy is happy, and the mittens are soft and fuzzy so small children will like to touch them (and drool on them, no doubt).
I didn't care for the part where the boy wonders if angels make their snowmen with wings and halos--why introduce silly speculation like this into a book for such a young audience? Other than that, I loved this book.
